Los Angeles, March 2019, Defendant caused a six vehicle rear-end collision with three vehicles totaled, including plaintiff’s. Plaintiff, 62, was diagnosed with multiple Disc herniations. Plaintiff underwent chiropractic, acupuncture, multiple MRI’s, Cervical Epidural Injections with a recommendation for five more Injections. The case was complicated by the fact that the defense IME doctor found all of the treatment reasonable, accident related and the billing reasonable. The IME doctor also diagnosed plaintiff with PTSD requiring future psychotherapy. The defense IME doctor found more medical treatment related to the accident than plaintiff’s own doctors. $650,000 Demand. $42,111 Verdict.
